NFL Network reports Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair a torn plantar plate in his foot-also known as turf toe. The rehab will be several months, but he’s expected to make a full recovery.

CBS reports an average of 91.6 million viewers of Super Bowl 55 on Sunday, which is the game’s lowest viewership since 2006. However, Sports Business Journal reports 5.7 million viewers streamed the game, which is up 65 percent from a year ago.

Former NFL coach Marty Schottenheimer died Monday in Charlotte, NC at the age of 77. Schottenheimer has been battling Alzheimer’s for several years. He was a head coach for 21 seasons leading the Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers.
