Updated: KSP investigating officer-involved shooting in Trigg County

Kentucky State Police have released additional details on an officer-involved shooting from Monday night on Bush Road in Trigg County.

A news release says preliminary investigation shows Trigg County Dispatch received a call about 7:40 p.m. regarding a possible intoxicated driver on Bush Road.

Trigg County sheriff’s deputies responded and located a man, who allegedly brandished and fired a gun. Deputies returned fire with their service weapons, striking and wounding the man.

The man was transported by Trigg County EMS to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Deputies were not injured in the incident and names of those involved have not been released.
