A pair of Bowling Green natives were honored by the Ohio Valley Conference today. Austin Peay’s Terry Taylor was named the OVC Player of the Week. In three road games Taylor averaged 24.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals/game while hitting 58.5 percent (31-of-53) from the field. It’s Taylor’s 16th OVC Player of the Week honor in his career, setting a new record.
Former Warren Central and current Morehead State player Skyelar Potter was named the Newcomer of the Week. Potter averaged 16.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists/game while hitting 46.2 percent (12-of-26) from the field and 83.3 percent (5-of-6) from the foul line in two Morehead State victories
