KSP urging motorists to drive sober and safely Super Bowl Sunday

If you are planning on attending a Super Bowl party Sunday, Kentucky State Police are reminding you to plan a safe and sober ride home.

KSP is participating in Operation CARE—Crash Awareness Reduction Effort.

A news release says KSP troopers and officers will put a high emphasis on all traffic enforcement violations, including speeding, failure to wear seat belts, impaired and distracted driving, and commercial vehicle enforcement.

Motorists are advised to slow down, buckle up, to move over for first responders, eliminate distractions while driving and to leave early for destinations.

Kentucky health officials are recommending that Super Bowl gatherings be kept to people from no more than two households and eight or less individuals to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
