Search warrant turns up stolen property, leads to arrests

A search warrant was served at a home on Gospel of Peace Road Wednesday, resulting in recovery of stolen property and the arrests of two suspects.

Detectives went to the home in the 2000 block of Gospel of Peace Road and police say the occupants—27-year old Brandon Gard and 23-year old Haley Pool of Hopkinsville—refused to open the door.

The search was done and a news release says deputies located several stolen items, a vehicle lockout kit used to get inside automobiles, and illegal narcotics.

Both suspects were arrested for receiving stolen property and possession of burglary tools.

Gard was also charged with possession of meth and marijuana and hindering the apprehension of a fugitive.

Pool was additionally charged with theft of identity and giving officers false identifying information.
