Investigation by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department into a stolen trailer resulted in the arrest of two local men.

According to a news release, a search warrant was obtained for a residence in the 2000 block of Butler Road to look for a stolen trailer from an incident on Palmyra Road in December. Detectives located the stolen trailer on the property and arrested 39-year old Norman Johnson of Hopkinsville for felony theft.

Deputies also arrested 41-year old Richard Scott of Oak Grove on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. A search had allegedly revealed him to be in possession of suspected marijuana, suspected methamphetamine residue, and drug paraphernalia. He also reportedly tried to hide the items by throwing a Crown Royal bag under a vehicle at the residence.

Both subjects were transported to the Christian County Jail and investigators say further charges are pending.
