The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council will be hosting a ground breaking for the new spec building in the commerce park.
According to a news release, the ground breaking will take place March 3 at 11:30 a.m. at the location in Commerce Park 1 on Frank Yost Lane. The 100,800 square foot speculative building is designed for optimal use for manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and more. It includes 38 foot ceiling heights, 12 dock bays and world class office space.
An estimated $1.8 million worth of contracts will be locally sourced during the construction project and the Hopkinsville Industrial Foundation has awarded the construction contract to local BradEm Construction.
President John Crenshaw says, “We are excited to break ground on this much anticipated project. With outstanding support from TVA, the Cabinet for Economic Development, and City and County Government, our Industrial Foundation has been able to leverage a great deal and look forward to overseeing this project and helping to create jobs for our region.”
