Kentucky reports 2,649 new COVID cases, 46 deaths Saturday

Governor Andy Beshear reported 2,649 new confirmed coronavirus cases in Kentucky Saturday and 46 more deaths.

Kentucky’s pandemic death toll now stands at 3,714.

The governor says 1,415 Kentuckians are in the hospital with the virus, 362 are in the ICU and 185 are on a ventilator.

The positivity rate was at 8.82 percent Saturday, up slightly from Friday.

Christian and surrounding counties remain red on the state incidence rate map.

The Tennessee Department of Health on Saturday reported 2,251 more cases and 113 deaths. At least 1,673 Tennesseans are hospitalized and the positivity rate there is 12.22 percent.
