A woman died Friday afternoon in a residential fire in Guthrie.
The Guthrie Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to smoke coming from an apartment on Grant Street a few minutes after 3 p.m. and 64-year old Sinnie Merriweather was found dead inside the home.
Foul play is not suspected and the investigation is ongoing by the Todd County Coroner’s Office, according to Todd County Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith.
The Trenton Volunteer Fire Department, Guthrie police, Todd County EMS and Burdern Bearers Chaplain Service all assisted at the scene.
