Hopkinsville police recovered a stolen car early Friday morning following a pursuit that began on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Sgt. Tony Sierra says officers began pursuing the stolen 2009 Hyundai Accent near Taco Bell on the Boulevard shortly after midnight and the male juvenile driver turned onto Nelson Drive and Country Club Lane and made his way to 21st and then McKee Street before abandoning the car on foot at McKee and College Street.
Police were able to catch his passenger, a juvenile female, but the driver got away.
The female was released into the custody of a family member and a warrant was issued against the driver, who police were able to identify.
One officer scraped his knee during the foot pursuit, but no one was seriously injured in the incident.
