A North Carolina woman is facing drug trafficking charges following a single-vehicle accident in Christian County Friday morning.
According to a news release from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a crash around the four-mile marker of Cadiz Road early Friday morning and made contact with the driver, 21-year old Carly Keith of North Carolina. There were apparently narcotics within view in the arm rest of the passenger door, and further search of the vehicle revealed a small baggie of methamphetamine.
Keith allegedly informed deputies she had more drugs on her person, and a search turned up over 40 Xanax pills, small baggies used for packaging, and suspected marijuana.
Keith was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of meth, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and operating a vehicle on a suspended license.
