Rudd honored for 50 years of service to Parks and Rec

Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation celebrated one of their own Wednesday afternoon, commemorating the 50 years of service Pam Rudd has given to the community.

In a ceremony streamed live from the Sportsplex, Mayor Wendell Lynch gave Rudd a key to the city and Judge-Executive Steve Tribble proclaimed Thursday as Pam Rudd Day in Christian County.

Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman praised her service to the community and Toby Hudson says Rudd is beloved for her contributions to the city over five decades.

Rudd said she’s humbled for the recognition and made it clear she doesn’t plan on retiring anytime in the near future.

Rudd was inducted into the Kentucky Parks and Recreation Society Hall of Fame in 2019.
