The Calloway County Sheriff’s Department arrested three people on felony charges following an investigation into an assault Tuesday morning.
According to a new release, deputies responded to 121 South in New Concord for reports of an assault, and upon arrival, discovered a victim who reported being assaulted with an unspecified weapon. Investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for 53-year old Dennis Payton, who was located at a residence on Newman Drive, along with multiple individuals, including 50-year old Deborah Duncan of Murray, who had multiple warrants out for her arrest.
Duncan and another individual, 52-year old Ricky Carter of Illinois, were allegedly found to be in possession of multiple items of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and various other drugs.
Duncan and Carter were arrested and charged with first-degree possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Duncan was additionally charged with felony theft, felony theft of a controlled substance, possession of a legend drug, and three counts of a failure to appear.
Payton was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree terroristic threatening and menacing. All three were lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
