The mother and son charged in connection with the October 13 shooting death of Calvin “Cue” Taylor at his home on North Kentucky Avenue appeared Wednesday afternoon in Christian Circuit Court.
Attorney Jason Pfeil represents 47-year old Larayna Manning, who is the alleged shooter in the case, and says he needs more time to go over evidence in the case.
Shannon Powers is the attorney for 24-year old Anthony Manning and made the same request, with Judge Andrew Self setting another court date for March 31 to give both attorneys the time they need.
The judge also again declined to change bond for Larayna Manning.
Hopkinsville police allege Anthony Manning drove his mother to Taylor’s home and went inside after hearing gunfire. Drugs, cash and a safe were missing from Taylor’s home when police began the investigation and police say Taylor’s mouth and wrists were duct-taped, indicating there had been a robbery.
Larayna is charged with murder and first-degree robbery and Anthony is charged with complicity to murder and robbery.
