There were eight new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Monday in Todd County and 40 since Friday in Trigg County.
Todd County Public Health Director Jen Harris also announced they received about 100 doses of COVID vaccine Monday morning, with 40 going to school personnel and the remaining 60 going to appointments for individuals 70 and over that filled up in about 15 minutes.
Seven of the new cases are adults, one is a minor and one of the adults is hospitalized with the virus.
Thirty of Todd County’s 873 cases are healing at home, eight are hospitalized, 811 have recovered and there have been 24 deaths.
Meanwhile, five of Trigg County’s new cases are minors, 35 are adults ranging in age from 19 to 87 and the Pennyrile District Health Department says they are all isolated at home.
Trigg County has had 926 total cases.
