The Christian County Health Department reported 48 new cases of COVID-19 locally Tuesday.
According to a news release, it puts the overall total since the pandemic began at 5,535—of that, 586 cases are considered active and 4,875 people have recovered from the illness.
Christian County has had 74 COVID-19 related deaths.
