Murray High School was on lockdown for about an hour and a half Monday morning after a report of possible gunfire on the campus.
The Murray Police Department and Murray Independent School System held a media briefing, with WPSD TV reporting officers received a call just before 9 a.m. of possible shots fired.
Police worked to clear the building, did not confirm that any shots were ever fired and no arrests were made.
No one was injured and there was no report of a gun being found.
The Murray Independent School System confirmed in a tweet shortly after 10:30 a.m. that Murray High had been released from lockdown and that all students were safe.
At this time all MISD campuses have been released out of lockdown. All staff and students are safe. A press conference is being held shortly in the MHS library with Murray Independent administration and Murray Police to release more information about this mornings events.
