WKU basketball teams split Saturday games with Middle Tennessee

Charles Bassey had 16 points and 12 rebounds with Tavieon Hollingsworth and Carson Williams each adding 15 points as Western Kentucky took the first of a two game series from Middle Tennessee 82-67 in Murfreesboro. WKU improved to 12-4 overall/ 5-2 in Conference USA. The teams meet again Sunday afternoon with pregame at 12:30 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

In Bowling Green, WKU’s Lady Toppers fell for the second straight night to Middle Tennessee 77-60. The Lady Toppers are now 3-9 overall and 2-4 in Conference USA and open a two game CUSA series at Old Dominion Friday night.
