Multiple reports say Japanese government officials have concluded the Tokyo Olympics will have to be canceled due to the ongoing pandemic. The country is now focused on securing the next available games in 2032. The Tokyo Olympics were already pushed back from 2020 due to Covid-19. Japan’s deputy chief cabinet secretary is denying the reports.
