Hopkinsville’s Lady Tigers built an early 12 point lead, but Christian County’s Lady Colonels used a 17-4 run in the 2nd quarter to cruise in a 58-38 win to open 8th district play Friday night at Lyle Dunbar Gym.
Christian County’s leading scorers were Serenity Shemwell with 12 points and NeVeah Day added 10 as the Lady Colonels evened their overall mark at 1-1 and open district play 1-0. Faith Dansbury had 10 second half points for Hopkinsville who evened its season mark at 1-1 but fell to 0-1 in district play.
