Woman sought for wanton endangerment, fleeing from police in custody

The Hopkinsville woman sought for wanton endangerment and other charges is now in custody.

An arrest warrant from Hopkinsville police says that on Friday of last week, 37-year old Tawanna Humphries arrived at the scene while police were executing a search warrant at her son’s apartment. She allegedly took a large amount of cash that was being confiscated by police and drove away while an officer was reaching in her window to retrieve the money she took.

Humphries was booked in the Christian County Jail on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, tampering with evidence and fleeing or evading police.
