Unemployment was up slightly last month in Kentucky

Kentucky’s December unemployment rate was up from November and higher than December of one year ago.

The December unemployment rate was six-percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics. That was up three-tenths of a point from November and up 1.7 percentage points from the 4.3 percent recorded for the state one year ago.

The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for December was 6.7 percent, unchanged from November 2020, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
