A light snow event tonight could cause a few slick spots on roadways across the region, but it is not expected to be a major event.
The National Weather Service in Paducah says most snow will melt with ground temperatures above freezing by the time the wintry weather arrives, but any bursts of heavier snow may be enough to create some issues on roads—especially bridges and overpasses.
Less than an inch of snow is expected and accumulations should be mostly on grassy areas.
Motorists traveling this evening and tonight should give themselves a little extra time to reach their destination and remember to slow down and use extra caution.
