The Christian County Health Department reported 40 new COVID-19 cases Friday.
According to an update, that puts the overall total of cases at 5,154—of that, 619 cases are considered active and 4,466 people have recovered from the virus. Christian County has now had 69 COVID-19 related deaths.
Breaking it down into age groups there are 96 active cases in the pediatric age group, 386 in the young adult to middle aged grouping, 124 in the older adult category and 13 in the elderly age group.
