Christian County students can plan to head back to school in-person on January 19, following a decision from the Christian County Public School System Thursday.
According to a news release from CCPS Spokesperson John Rittenhouse, the decision to bring students back in-person, five days a week is due to Jennie Stuart Health patient capacity returning to a normal wintertime level, staff positive and exposures decreasing, and teachers and staff of CCPS beginning to receive the vaccine.
All students attending in-person instruction must wear masks, social distance when possible, and follow all other Healthy at School guidelines. Students in grades 7 through 12 must have their Chromebook with them each day they are in school.
The return does not apply to students who are enrolled in the Virtual Learning Academy, who will continue to receive 7-day meal bundles each Friday at their assigned school from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
