Police in Christian County were busy overnight investigating three robberies and a shooting.
Area police agencies were notified about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday that a woman had been robbed of her car at gunpoint at the Oak Grove Walmart and then learned armed men robbed Luigis Pizza in Oak Grove a few minutes later, with Oak Grove Detective James Carter saying they believe the incidents are connected.
Shortly before 11 p.m. Hopkinsville police were called to the area of Foxfield Road and Pyle Lane and Sgt. Chris Bond says they determined a pizza delivery man, identified as 44-year old Jeffery Karasiewicz of Hopkinsville, was shot during the course of a robbery.
The male juvenile was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, fleeing or evading police, reckless driving and tampering with evidence.
Sgt. Bond says Karasiewicz was flown to a Nashville hospital and was in stable condition Thursday morning.
The occupants of the second vehicle believed to be involved in at least some of the incidents remain at large and anyone with information on the Oak Grove robberies should call the Oak Grove Police Department at 270-439-4602.
