Eight time defending 2nd region All A champion University Heights Academy saw its reign end as Lyon County downed the Blazers 79-77 last night.Nick Whalin hit the game winning shot for the Lyons with 2.8 seconds left in the game. Lyon County had a seven point lead going into the 4th quarter 65-58 before the Blazers made a run that came up short. Jackson Shoulders led the Lyons with 28 points with Ryan Perry adding 27 as they improved to 4-0.
University Heights had four players in double figures led by DJ Quarles with 18 points, William Bryan and KJ Crump each added 17 and Amani McGee added 15 in falling to 1-3.
