Alabama wins national title, 2021 CFB Hall announced

Quarterback Mac Jones threw five touchdown passes, including three to Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith, as top-ranked Alabama beat third-ranked Ohio State 52-24 in last night’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Miami. The Crimson Tide finished the season a perfect 13-and-0, while the Buckeyes end their season 7-and-1. It’s the seventh national title for head coach Nick Saban and his sixth at Alabama. His seven national championships breaks a modern era tie with the legendary Bear Bryant.

Former USC quarterback Carson Palmer and former Eastern Illinois signal-caller Tony Romo highlight the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2021. Former Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops is also part of the 13-member class that features 11 players and two coaches. Enshrinement will take place December 7th. The Class of 2020 will also be inducted that night after COVID-19 canceled last month’s scheduled ceremony.
