Kentucky State Police have released details on the collision Saturday night on Dawson Springs Road that injured a Hopkinsville police officer and  three people in the other vehicle.

A news release says Officer Tim Humble was patrolling an area near Henson Drive a little before 8:30 p.m. when he was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by 18-year old Armon White of Hopkinsville.

Officer Humble was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and later transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was treated and then discharged Sunday.

White was flown by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of serious injuries.

His passengers—18-year old Jakiyah Henton and 18-year old Taquavion Coleman of Hopkinsville—were taken to Jennie Stuart. Another passenger declined a trip to the hospital.
