Terry Taylor was at his very best Saturday against Eastern Illinois. He answered the call obanking home the game-winning three as time expired to send Austin Peay home victorious in a 74-71 decision against the Panthers. The Bowling Green senior had 38 points and 17 rebounds in the win as the Governors improvrd to 7-4 overall and 3-2 in the OVC.
In the women’s game, Austin Peay kept its OVC winning streak going with a 77-68 win over Eastern Illinois. The Lady Governors are now 7-2 overall and 5-0 in the OVC, which is the best start for the Lady Governors in the league since the 2002-03 season. Austin Peay’s teams will next see action at UT Martin next Thursday.
