Comer describes what he saw and heard during Capitol attack

Western Kentucky Congressman James Comer appeared on Fox News Thursday morning and described his perspective of the attack on the U.S. Capitol Wednesday afternoon.

Comer says he knew something was happening when Capitol Police removed the House Speaker from the chamber.

Evacuation began for all members of the House and Comer says he left after glass was shattered in the chamber door.

The attack on the Capitol happened as the House and Senate were working to certify Electoral College results that showed Joe Biden defeating President Trump. Comer condemned the attack Wednesday, saying β€œThe outrageous rioting and violence taking place at the Capitol Building is completely unacceptable and not who we are as a nation of law and order. Mob violence is wrong regardless of political affiliation.”
