A Todd County man was flown to a Nashville hospital following an accident involving an ATV and a car Monday morning in the Claymour community.
Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. Patrick Turner investigated and determined 70-year old Doug Heltsley of Claymour was operating an ATV and drove into the path of a westbound car on Highland Lick Road that was driven by 50-year old Robert Taylor of Muhlenberg County.
Heltsley was ejected from the ATV upon impact and was flown by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Todd County Emergency Management, EMS, Rescue Squad and the Sharon Grove Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the accident.
