CCHD reports three COVID-19 deaths, continues vaccine rollout

The Christian County Health Department reported three new COVID-19 related deaths Monday, along with information about vaccine rollout in the community.

According to a news release, the three new victims are a 78-year old white male, a 63-year old black male and a 72-year old white male, all reportedly with underlying health conditions.  They also bring the death toll up to 60 in Christian County.

The health department is making its way through phase 1A of vaccine rollout—which includes non-hospital health care agencies—and are looking to start phase 1B in early February.  That phase will include individuals over the age of 70 years-old.  Officials are asking that any agencies who are in 1A to fill out a request form if they would like for their employees to receive the vaccine.

Any individuals or agencies that fall into the 1B phase can also fill out a form.  Those forms will also be available on the Christian County Health Department website.

Filling out one of the forms does not count as an appointment, but allows the health department to contact the agency and plan a rollout method from there.
