The Courier Journal reports the Jefferson County Public School board will meet Tuesday to discuss when winter sports might begin. The board will consider three different options with practices to begin later this month. but no games would be played before February 1st.
The February 1st start date would allow JCPS basketball teams six weeks of regular-season play before district tournaments begin March 15th. The KHSAA also has set dates for the start of postseasons in bowling, March 8th, wrestling, March 15th and swimming, April 5th.
