Lyon County man allegedly pointed gun at family members

An investigation Friday morning in Lyon County led to the arrest of a man on multiple felony charges.

Lyon County deputies were dispatched to a 911 call a few minutes before 5 a.m. on Eddy Creek Road and were told that 58-year old Kevin Mosier of Eddyville was armed with a large caliber rifle and had pointed the gun at his family members. He also was trying to beat down an interior door to get to family members who were trying to hide from him.

After initially refusing to exit the home, Mosier eventually emerged and was arrested following a brief struggle.

A search allegedly turned up the rifle, marijuana, synthetic drugs and drug paraphernalia.

An elderly woman in the home sustained minor injuries fleeing from Mosier, but did not require a trip to the hospital.

Mosier was charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, drug possession and other charges.
