Belmont defeated Murray State 68-55 in Nashville. The Racers got 15 points from Brion Whitley and 11 points and seven rebounds from KJ Williams in defeat. Murray State is now 4-4/1-2 in the OVC and welcomes Morehead State for a 4 pm game on Saturday.
Austin Peay was also in the Music City and downed Tennessee State 68-59. Reginald Gee led the Governors with 20 points while Terry Taylor had 11 points and 12 rebounds in the win. The Governors are now 6-3/1-2 in the OVC and host Eastern Kentucky at 4 pm Saturday.
Both the Austin Peay-Tennessee State and the Murray State-Belmont women’s games were canceled due to Covid-19 issues and will be rescheduled later.
