Madisonville man hurt in single-vehicle crash

The Madisonville Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle collision Wednesday that sent a man to the hospital.

According to a news release, officers responded to South Seminary Street around 4 p.m. for reports of a crash.  Investigation determined that a vehicle driven by 59-year old Daniel Alvey of Madisonville had been heading southbound when he reportedly blacked out for a moment, causing the vehicle to leave the road and strike a utility pole.

Alvey was taken to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment of possible injuries.
