Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff is recovering from surgery on his broken thumb suffered in Sunday’s loss to Seattle. NFL Network reports Goff had the procedure on Monday. Goff could return for the playoffs if the Rams make it. L.A. can clinch a postseason berth with a win over Arizona or a loss by the Chicago Bears. LA will start John Wolford at quarterback against the Cardinals. The Rams are also reportedly signing Blake Bortles off the Denver Broncos’ practice squad.

The Washington Football Team has parted with quarterback Dwayne Haskins. The team has released the 2019 first-round draft pick, with head coach Ron Rivera saying it benefits both parties to go their separate ways. The move comes after Haskins was benched during Sunday’s loss to Carolina. The quarterback had also previously been stripped of his captaincy and fined 40-thousand dollars after being seen without a mask at a club.
