Man charged with second-degree burglary

A Hopkinsville man is facing second-degree burglary charges following an incident Sunday afternoon on North Elm Street.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers were called to a residence on North Elm Street for an unknown problem, where the victim told them that 27-year old Cecil Keys was refusing to leave.  He reportedly told her she was going to have to get the police to make him leave.

Officer discovered Keys allegedly under the influence of narcotics—he had apparently been previously trespassed from the residence.  Keys was taken into custody without incident and charged with second-degree burglary.
