Princeton teen struck by vehicle, flown to Evansville hospital

A Princeton teenager was flown to an Evansville hospital Sunday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on Dawson Road in Princeton.

According to a news release, the Princeton Police Department responded to the 300 block of Dawson Road around 4:30 p.m. for reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. Investigation determined that 13-year old Sierra Spalding of Princeton had been attempting to cross the road when she was struck by a vehicle heading westbound on Dawson and driven by 18-year old Deontaye Wells of Fredonia.

Spalding was treated at the scene and then flown to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana. The investigation is ongoing.
