The Lexington Herald Leader earlier this week released its preseason Top 25 boys and girls’ basketball polls and players.
Boys: Louisville Male-coached by former Hopkinsville coach Tim Haworth-is the preseason number one team in the poll followed by Covington Catholic, Ballard, Ashland Blazer and Fern Creek in the top five. Bowling Green is seventh, Marshall County ninth, Warren Central is 20th and Madisonville is 22nd.
Girls: Butler is first followed by Franklin County, Anderson County, Ryle and Bethlehem. Bowling Green is 13th, Marshall County is 17th and Henderson County is 23rd.
The 2021 season begins on January 4th.
