Two Murray residents charged in armed home invasion

The Murray Police Department has arrested two Murray residents with first-degree robbery following an armed home invasion early Sunday morning.

According to a news release, officers responded to a residence on Highway 121 North in reference to calls of a home invasion.  Upon arrival, contact was made the victims, who said three individuals had broken into their home, with one armed with a firearm and reportedly assaulted one of the residents.

Following an investigation, charges were brought against 18-year old Austin Brown of Murray for first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and impersonating a peace officer, and 18-year old Kenneth Walls Jr. of Murray, for first-degree robbery.  They were lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
