Todd County Public Health Director Jen Harris says most of their over 500 COVID-19 cases don’t know where they contracted the virus, but there are some trends among those who do have a good idea of where they became sick.
She says the Todd County Health Department has been able to continue notifying all positive cases and they are also still calling direct contacts—especially those who are at high risk to become sick with the virus.
When attempting to investigate where the patient got the virus, Harris says it’s often impossible to know.
Among those who do know, most patients caught the virus from someone in their own home.
Family gatherings have also been a significant source of coronavirus infections in Todd County.
At work and through travel are the fourth and fifth-most likely ways to catch the virus right now, according to data compiled by the Todd County Health Department.
