Details have been released on an accident involving a tanker truck Saturday morning that shut down the Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County for several hours.
The collision report from Deputy Mark Nichols says James Jackson of Hopkinsville had been northbound near the McLean Avenue interchange at about 3:20 a.m. when for unknown reasons his semi entered the median and overturned approximately three times.
The truck came to rest in the median and the tanker hauling diesel and gasoline came to rest in the southbound lanes.
Fuel spilled into the median, creating a cleanup process that lasted several hours.
Jackson was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
