Book signing Sunday celebrates Hopkinsville native, author

Pembroke Productions is holding a book launch and signing on Sunday, in celebration of a new publication—“The Transformation of a High School Dropout”—written by Hopkinsville resident Levi Peterson, Jr.

A longtime assistant principal at Hopkinsville High School and teacher at Christian County High School, Peterson has had a large impact on many local students.  According to a news release, the book signing will be held at 12 p.m. in the Father Meredith Hall at Peterson’s church, Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Hopkinsville. COVID-19 guidelines will be in place that day, which is also Peterson’s 87th birthday.

In “The Transformation of a High School Dropout” Peterson tells of his failures and successes in life, following from when he dropped out of high school, joined the United States Airforce, earned his GED, met his wife of over 60 years and earned a teaching degree from Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina.
