Two local state representatives have been chosen to serve on new positions on state standing committees during the upcoming legislative session.
According to a news release, Representative Jason Petrie from Todd County has been named as the new Chair of the Appropriations and Revenue Committee for the Kentucky House. He told local officials that he’s looking forward to the role and that there is a lot more good that can be done for the Commonwealth.
Representative Walker Thomas of Hopkinsville was named to chair the Veterans, Military Affairs and Public Protection Committee.
