Clarksville woman injured after hitting deer on Parkway

A Clarksville woman was injured Sunday night after striking a deer on the Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County.

It happened about 7:15 p.m. and the collision report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department says Jahara Palmer of Clarksville was southbound near the 8 mile-marker when a deer jumped into his path and he was unable to avoid striking the animal.

Palmer was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for head and body pain.
