Man indicted for shots fired incident

Meeting virtually via Zoom, a Christian County grand jury returned an indictment Friday morning against a man accused of firing gunshots into a home on Hancock Street in October.

The indictment for first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief was returned against 28-year old Deaudrey Civils of Hopkinsville.

He allegedly fired two gunshots into a home in the 300 block of Hancock a few minutes before 3 a.m. on October 13. A man was inside lying on his bed, but was not injured.

Meanwhile, 47-year old Larayna Manning of Hopkinsville was indicted for fraudulent use of a credit card and theft of a credit card.

Manning, who’s charged in a separate case with complicity to murder for the October 12 fatal shooting of Calvin “Cue” Taylor at his home on North Kentucky Avenue, is accused in Friday’s indictment of using a credit card stolen from a family member to make purchases in August.

The grand jury indicted 21-year old Noah Dunlavey of Hopkinsville for two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and using restricted ammunition during commission of a felony.

Hopkinsville police allege Dunlavey pointed a handgun at two people in another vehicle following a confrontation in October.
