Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced 3,614 new COVID-19 cases in the Commonwealth Friday, along with 25 new deaths.
The positivity rate in the state is now at 9.93 percent, which Governor Beshear calls much too high—he says with vaccines right around the corner, people need to continue those well-known health guidelines for just a little longer to keep themselves and others safe.
Twenty-five more Kentuckians have died, including a 69-year-old woman from Caldwell County and an 85-year old woman from Muhlenberg County, putting that total 2,039.
The Tennessee Department of Health 4,356 new COVID-19 cases Friday, along with a record 95 deaths. The Volunteer State currently has 2,485 hospitalization and has a positivity rate of 16.59 percent.
