Unemployment was up from October to November in all nine Pennyrile counties.
Christian County’s jobless rate went from 6 percent in October to 7.4 percent in November—equating to 1,827 people who were looking for work and unable to find it. It was also higher than the 6.3 percent from one year ago.
Todd County maintained the region’s lowest jobless rate at 4.6 percent, up from 3.9 in October and from 4.3 a year ago.
The jobless rate in Trigg County was 6.7 percent, up from 5.6 percent the previous month and from 4.7 percent in November of 2019.
The state unemployment rate was 6.9 percent and the national average was 6.6 percent.
